Honestly there isn’t a time during an interview where the hiring manager will ask you if you use Windows or Mac because I think it is pretty much assumed that you know how to use a Mac. Having the ability to go from one company's Mac workstation to another companys’ without wasting any time due to learning a new operating system will definitely put you in good favor. As you grow in your design career and level up, you will most likely switch companies. Over the years I could count on one hand the times I’ve observed a workstation that wasn’t using Mac OS. In today’s market a lot of design and creative companies use Apple products that come installed with the latest versions of Mac OS. If you are planning on joining a design agency or design department of a company then chances are, they are currently using the Mac operating system.
